Role summary
This is a part-time Band 3 Receptionist role at Chailey Clinical Services, working two days a week (Monday and Wednesday, 08:30-16:30). The main duty is to be the first point of contact for patients, handling reception and administrative tasks. You will deal with patient information, manage enquiries, book rooms, and support the admin team to provide excellent customer service.
Essential criteria
- Educated to GSCE level or equivalent
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook email
- Skills and Knowledge
- Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with patients, NHS staff at all levels, and members of the public, both face-to-face and on the telephone
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with conflicting demands
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
- Dealt directly with customers, patients and members of the public
- Handling personally or commercially sensitive information
Desirable criteria
- Experience working within the NHS or a similar healthcare setting
- An understanding of the principles of equal opportunities in relation to staff and patients
- Awareness of Data Protection and confidentiality
- Willingness to be adaptable, willing and flexible with working hours should delivery of service require this on occasions

Chailey offers specialised care for individuals with Neurodisabilities and offers supports the Chailey Heritage Foundation School.
