An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Dietitian to join our multi-disciplinary Weight Management and Type 2 Diabetes Prevention Team as a specialist dietitian providing interventions at Tier 3 level based at Astley Ainslie Hospital and Royal Edinburgh Hospital . This post will work alongside psychology, exercise specialists and dietetics in addition to local council authority staff. There will be a specific focus on the Type 2 diabetes remission programme using total diet replacement as the treatment modality. The post holder will have responsibility for provision of groups, clinics, assessments and training and continuing the development of the NHS Lothian Weight Management and Type 2 Diabetes Prevention Service. It is an exciting opportunity, for a dietitian who has a keen interest in weight management and diabetes prevention to become a valued member of the wider multidisciplinary teams.
