Role summary
This Band 5 Rotational Dietitian role offers experience across various settings within University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust, providing a professional dietetic service for both adult and paediatric patients. Essential criteria
- oBSc in Dietetics or equivalent oDietitian Registered with HCPC
Desirable criteria
- oBDA member (or application submitted)
- oDietetic placement experience in a variety of NHS settings.
- oExperience in an acute NHS hospital during B or C clinical placement. oAn interest in both adult and paediatric patient care oAn interest in community and acute settings oRecent post qualification dietetic experience oExperience of working in a health or social care setting
- oUp to date dietetic professional knowledge acquired through degree
- oMulti-cultural awareness oAn awareness of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children
- oAble to communicate with clients or their carers using dietary counselling, motivational and negotiation skills oAble to analyse information and to make judgements on dietetic issues oAble to demonstrate good written and oral communication skills with people from a variety of backgrounds, without risk of misunderstanding oAble to plan and prioritise own caseload using time management skills oKeyboard skills

Job summary
- The Band 5 rotational role provides experience in a variety of settings across UHCW and may be placed within any of the services supported by UHCW Dietitians.
- Provides a professional dietetic service for adults and paediatrics, across a range of general medical and surgical inpatient wards, outpatient clinics and the community at UHCW.
- Assesses and treats own workload of patients / clients and maintains associated records, with support as necessary from Senior colleagues.
- Liaises with dietetic colleagues and other members of hospital staff as necessary e.g. medical, nursing, catering and other health professionals.
