Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the oncology team, focusing on Upper Gastro-intestinal cancer. Essential criteria
- Relevant recent experience in upper GI cancer/ oncology services
- Multi-professional working
- Analytical and assessment skills
- Demonstrates expertise in the management oncology/ upper GI cancer services.
- Management of a team
- Proven interest in working within upper GI cancer/ oncology services
- 3 years post registration
- qualification and professional training
- Registered Nurse with NMC registration
- Recognised oncology/ upper GI cancer qualification
- Degree or equivalent level qualification
- Evidence of continual professional development
- Leadership/ mentoring course
- Advanced communication qualification level 2
Desirable criteria
- Non-medical prescribing qualification or commitment to undertake
- Advanced clinical assessment

- Provide specialist advice to patients/clients, carers, relatives in relation to conditions
- IT and word processing skills
- Able to manage work autonomously
