Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse on NMC register
- Evidence of degree level study/diploma in nursing
- Mentorship course or equivalent

- Formal leadership & management training
- Knowledge, skills, training & experience
- Ability to lead change or new ways of working
- Minimum of 3 years experience post registration
- Minimum of 1 years experience undertaking Band 6 responsibilities
- Experience within a Neurosurgical setting or knowledge of Neurosurgery

Job summary
An exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Staff Nurse has arisen for committed, highly motivated, enthusiastic and reliable individuals who wish to develop their skills and knowledge in Neurosurgical Nursing as a Senior Clinical Staff Nurse.
The post holder will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the ward, leading and developing staff, coordinating patient care, promoting patient safety, and driving quality improvement initiatives. The post holder will have delegated responsibility and will be supported by the department leader and the senior nursing team. With indirect supervision, the post holder will be supported to lead the day to day running of the neurosurgical ward, promoting care excellence and positive patient experience.
