Job summary
An exciting and challenging
opportunity has arisen within Leicestershire Health Informatics Services
Patching & Provisioning Team. This role is to provide the day-to-day
routine and operational support duties to the IT Support and Infrastructure
department (which includes warehouse function) and is designed to support busy
system engineers and system technicians. This is primarily an office based role
but may require travel at a local level on a daily basis to administer goods at
various LHIS storage facilities. This role will require a physical fitness to
lift up to 20kg unaided and work within the Health and Safety Executives manual

Main duties of the job
This will include monitoring routine systems outside of the Project and Stores team, for example Server backup failures systems, Antivirus systems, Encryptions systems and to take necessary action.
This post will also be responsible for administering, organising and planning the receipt, storage, stock control and distribution service for all ordered LHIS stock, including orders on behalf of clients. These deliveries may include mobile telephones, computers, printers, network equipment etc. This post also includes installing software as required on PCs/Laptops, to ensure that physical assets are maintained to an appropriate standard.
