Role summary
This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced Medical Equipment Engineer to supervise the Equipment Engineering section within the Medical Devices Management Team. The role involves contributing to strategic management, ensuring compliance with legislation, and overseeing the procurement, maintenance, and safety of medical devices across the Trust. You will also manage staff performance and promote continuous service improvement.
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable knowledge of engineering theory necessary to be able to efficiently diagnose and rectify faults on clinical equipment
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the risks to patients and staff arising from the use of a range of medical equipment
- Degree, HND/C or Equivalent in Electronics or Biomedical/Clinical Engineering or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
- Evidence of regular participation in formal and informal technical training throughout career
- Practical experience of using a range of test & measuring equipment and of applying electronic engineering workshop practices and techniques
- Demonstrable experience of providing front line customer service
