Role summary
This role is for a dynamic and experienced qualified Mental Health Professional to join the Integrated Mental Health and Substance Misuse Service at HMP Long Lartin. You will manage and lead the team, offering assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based interventions. The position involves a small clinical caseload and requires an excellent working knowledge of the Mental Health Act. You will influence and lead the provision of high-quality mental health care to vulnerable individuals within a prison setting.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and lead the team.
- Offer assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidenced based interventions.
- Support the Clinical Lead in the implementation of integrated care pathways.
- Co-ordinate care delivery across the mental healthcare pathway.
- Lead on caseload and management supervision to monitor named nurse/care co-ordinator standards of service user care and documentation.
Essential criteria
- Professional Registration (Band 7 registered nurse)
- 12 months prison experience
- Experience of working with people with mental health problems using a stepped care approach, demonstrate knowledge from previous experience.
- Trauma informed principles aware
