Role summary
This role is for a compassionate and dedicated Crisis Worker to join the NHS-run Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) in South East Wales. You will provide immediate emotional support, practical guidance, advocacy, and reassurance to individuals affected by sexual violence and abuse. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to a trauma-informed, person-centred service, often being the first professional clients encounter after a traumatic experience. The position requires flexibility to cover shortfalls in the rota to ensure 24/7 operation.
Essential criteria
- Has achieved a minimum of NVQ level 4 or above in a relevant subject i.e. Psychology, Counselling, Law, Sociology, Mental Health or relevant background experience in a mental health setting, working with victims of crime or domestic violence

- Knowledge of the impact of sexual violence on men, women and children
