Role summary
The Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) provides autonomous assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with urgent and primary care conditions within the Primary Urgent Care Centre (PUCC). This involves taking patient histories, conducting clinical examinations, interpreting information, and developing management plans. The ANP collaborates with the Emergency Department and multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centred care. The role also includes contributing to clinical leadership, education, service development, audit, and quality improvement activities.
Essential criteria
- Registered nurse / Health Care Professional Council qualification level 6/7
- Advanced assessment skill course - level 6/7
- Minor illness course level 6/7
- Practitioner Experience at Band 6/7 ENP within a primary care /Urgent Care environment
Desirable criteria
- Non medical prescribing
- Emergency Department experience
- Evidence of excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with the multidisplinary team
- Master qualification within healthcare/ Emergency care
- Demonstrates understanding of confidentiality, information governance and data protection principles
- Demonstrates a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
