Role summary
This role is for a Pharmacy Aseptic Compounding Assistant within the aseptic unit at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The assistant will be involved in compounding chemotherapy and other sterile products for patients across North West London, including those in clinical trials. Essential criteria
- Good secondary education GCSEs, Math, English, Science Grades A-C
- Literate and Numerate
- Experience of working within a pharmacy or lab setting

- Experience of handling IV cytotoxics
- Aseptic Compounding Experience
- Good ability to organise and prioritise work
- Analytical ability for problem solving
- Good ability to use computer systems including excel and word
- Good personal organisation and time management skills

Job summary
We are looking for a committed and hardworking Pharmacy aseptic compounding assistant to work in our aseptic unit.
Do you want to be part of a fantastic team making a real difference to people's lives? Do you have a good working knowledge of aseptic services or are you willing to learn.
Our busy units make chemotherapy and other aseptic products to support patients across North West London and beyond. Through our support for numerous clinical trials, we also are at the cutting edge of developing treatments for the future.
In conjunction with our other team members you will ensure that the aseptic service provided to chemotherapy and Clinical Trial patients across the trust is to a high standard. This will include compounding of chemotherapy and Clinical Trials in isolators and/or Laminar Air Flow cabinets.
The post is cross site and will be based at Hammersmith or Charing Cross site and will require the post holder to organise and participate in the preparation of chemotherapy, clinical trials and parenteral nutrition for adults.
