Role summary
Join a dynamic Pharmacy team at Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust as a Band 5 Pharmacy Technician, working 15 hours per week. This role involves supporting high-quality care across Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, and Community Health services. You will be part of a supportive team, focusing on patient care and developing your skills in a rewarding environment. Key responsibilities
- Dispensing inpatient, outpatient, clinical trial, and controlled drug prescriptions.
- Supporting the safe and timely supply of medicines and coordinating patient discharges.
- Assisting in the delivery of the clozapine service.
- Using pharmacy IT systems for dispensing, stock control, and medicines management.
- Participating in medicines management activities, including patient drug histories and assessing patients own medicines.
- Accuracy checking within a technician-led dispensary.
- Supporting patient counselling and promoting medicines adherence.
- Providing support to wards using the Trusts ePrescribing system.
- Assisting with the daily running of the dispensary, including workflow coordination and query resolution.
