Role summary
This role is for a Commercial Medicines Access Technical Analyst within the All Wales Therapeutics and Toxicology Centre (AWTTC), collaborating with the Medicines Value Unit (MVU). Essential criteria
- Degree or equivalent experience
- Project management qualification, or equivalent
- Management of Healthcare projects or equivalent

- Medicines management/procurement experience
- Experience/knowledge of working within the NHS or related organisation
- Evidence of excellent written and verbal skills
- Strong analytical and data manipulation skills
- Evidence of effective team working/leading a team, ideally in a healthcare setting
- Understanding of strategic medicines related developments and implementation processes across services

Job summary
Due to the expansion of our current service, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Medicines Access Technical Analyst to join the All Wales Therapeutics and Toxicology Centre (AWTTC).
Working in close collaboration with the Medicines Value Unit (MVU), you will play a key role as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on improving the efficiency and timeliness of medicines access across Wales. This work will support all university health boards and the trust in Wales to deliver safe, high-quality services and contribute to the cost-effective use of medicines.
This post would suit someone with experience of working in a pharmacy environment, with strong attention to detail and confidence using spreadsheets. Essential skills include the ability to work with a range of datasets, identify opportunities to improve medicines access across Wales, communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders and apply strong problem-solving skills. The role offers a unique opportunity to work at a national level as part of a small, friendly team.
