Role summary
This role is for an ambitious Band 6 Community Specialist Podiatrist to join Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust. You will manage a specialist clinical caseload, focusing on high-risk foot care, wound management, and specialist MSK assessment. The position involves working autonomously, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to service development and clinical supervision. Key responsibilities
- Work as an autonomous practitioner managing a specialist clinical caseload.
- Assess, diagnose, plan and deliver evidence-based podiatric care.
- Provide specialist assessment and treatment for patients with high-risk and complex foot problems.
- Undertake wound assessment and management where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, diabetes teams, vascular services and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to clinical supervision, mentorship, teaching and development of colleagues and students.
Essential criteria
- to HCPC registered with BSc Hons Podiatry degree or equivalent
- Ability to demonstrate working to Band 6 level competencies
- Access to transport for locality working
