We are seeking to recruit a full time Assistant Financial Services Accountant for Expenditure on a 2 year fixed term contract or secondment for our busy Financial Services team based at Assynt House, Inverness.

The successful applicant will provide support to the Accounts Payable, Patient Travel, Systems and Primary Care Teams within Financial Services. Responsible for the overall management and performance of these teams, ensuring all relevant Standing Financial Instructions and Standard Financial Procedures are adhered to and all transactions are processed accurately to meet all internal, external, and statutory deadlines.

Responsible for ensuring all control accounts in the balance sheet in relation to the sections managed are appropriately reconciled within a strict timetable, thus ensuring the integrity of the NHS Highland financial ledger and providing other finance staff with a reliable reporting tool esse
