Role summary
This role is for a CDC Quality Manager to develop and embed a Quality Management System within two Community Diagnostic Centres in Southeast London. The manager will ensure accreditation with UKAS and alignment with Quality Standards in Imaging (QSI). Key responsibilities include promoting quality improvement, supporting staff training, and managing the clinical governance programme. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to safe and high-quality diagnostic services.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate, co-ordinate and maintain the delivery of an effective quality management system (QMS) within Community diagnostic centres.
- Promote quality improvement within CDCs across both CDC sites.
- Support and train staff and be accountable for all aspects of the quality of service delivered.
- Help support the clinical governance programme and be responsible for relevant project management for QSI accreditation.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly audit reports on relevant areas such as clinical incidents, serious investigations and complaints.
- Act as the lead specialist in quality management and ensure the quality system is managed consistent with current QSI and UKAS standards.
Essential criteria
- Masters Degree or PgDip level qualification or equivalent experience
- Evidence of continuing education and development
- Recognised quality management qualification / experience
- Moderate relevant experience including; ? Working with quality systems ? protocol / policy development and implementation ? risk management ? training and education
- Audit
- Previous experience in improvement projects
- Previous achievements in change management in the NHS
- Experience of radiography
- Experience with complaints process and handling
- An understanding of the principles of quality management ISO 9001
- An understanding of the IR(ME)R regulations
- Knowledge of PC based applications including Office 365 applications
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to prioritise against tight deadlines.
- Proactive self-starter.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Required to concentrate for prolonged periods of time
- Able to act and communicate confidently in stressful situations occasionally
- Good IT skills, (word processing, spread sheets, databases and PowerPoint)
- Committed to continuous service development and quality improvement
- Reliable and supportive
