Job summary
To participate in the provision of an Estates service primarily undertaking electrical repairs, planned maintenance, small works and minor improvements.
It will be anticipated that some mechanical / building duties will be undertaken as training and experience is gained. Participation in the Trust's Estates tradesman on-call [contact details removed] to cover multiple sites is also required. A valid UK driving license is therefore essential.
Main duties of the job
The main duties :
- Deliver day-to-day electrical maintenance : planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault diagnosis and repairs, and installation/testing of new works.
- Carry out compliance testing and checks : portable appliance testing (PAT) and routine testing of essential systems (e.g., fire alarms, nurse call, generators), including interpreting/resetting BMS alarms.
- Follow Estates policies and safe systems of work : complete documentation, use PPE, work safely, and keep workshops/plant rooms safe and tidy.
- Support service delivery: record work on CAFM , liaise with wards/departments, supervise/oversee contractors and support/training of other staff.
