Role summary
This role is for a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Integrated Contraception & Sexual Health Services (iCaSH) team in Wisbech. The specialist will assess patients' sexual and reproductive health needs, provide advice, treatments, and procedures, and work autonomously within the service. The position requires an NMC Registered Nurse or Midwife with a nationally recognised qualification in Sexual Health or Contraception and experience in the field.
Essential criteria
- Current NMC registration
- FSRH Diploma Or STIF Intermediate Course
- LoC IUT or willingness to undertake
Desirable criteria
- Non Medical Prescribing
- Recent experience of working in sexual health (Contraception, GUM or equivalent)
- Able to demonstrate competency in supply of treatments by Patient Group Directions (PGDs)
- Able to work autonomously
- Cervical Cytology Sample Taker
- Competent in phlebotomy (or a willingness to undertake training)
- Specialist clinical knowledge in sexual health and/or related specialties.

This is an extremely exciting time to be working within iCaSH Cambridgeshire. We are looking for a motivated & enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist, with a strong team-work ethic to join our team in Wisbech.
You will be a NMC Registered Nurse or a NMC Registered Midwife with a nationally recognised qualification in Sexual Health and or Contraception (i.e DFSRH/ BASHH STIF) and a Letter of Competence in Intra Uterine Technique or willingness to undertake this training.
You will also have recent experience of working in sexual health (Contraception, GUM or equivalent), and ability to demonstrate competency in supply of treatments by Patient Group Directions (PGDs) & be able to work autonomously.
Clinic hours are:
Monday 09.00 - 16.45hrs
Tuesday 09.00 - 17.45hrs
Thursday 09.00 - 16.45hrs.
Alternate Fridays Ely clinic 09.30 - 16.00hrs
