Role summary

This role involves being the first point of contact for patients, carers, and healthcare professionals accessing community nursing and therapy services. Key responsibilities

  • Handle incoming telephone calls, emails and other communications from patients, carers and health and social care professionals.
  • Receive and process referrals into the service, identifying and escalating urgent cases appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate records on relevant systems and liaise with clinical teams to support safe triage and timely action.
  • Provide clear, helpful, and non-clinical information, adapting communication to individual needs.
  • Support the safe coordination of community nursing and therapy access by prioritising urgent work and monitoring service queues.

Essential criteria

  • Numerate and literate, with Maths and English GCSE (Level 4 or above), or equivalent
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Office experience in private or health sector
  • Professional contact with the General Public
  • Customer Services experience

  • IT and Microsoft office literate

Our Single Point of Contact (SPoC) Operational Hub plays a vital role in supporting patients, carers and healthcare professionals by coordinating access to community nursing and therapy services across Norfolk. As a Band 3 Operational Hub Administrator, you will be one of the first people patients and professionals speak to when accessing community services.

Working within a busy and supportive team, you will answer calls, process referrals, maintain accurate records and help ensure information reaches the right clinical teams safely and efficiently.
