Role summary
This role involves supporting the delivery of a high-quality, efficient, and responsive recruitment service within the Workforce and Organisational Development Directorate. The successful candidate will manage recruitment administration from advertising to appointment, including processing pre-employment checks and issuing offers. They will also provide advice and support to managers and applicants, ensuring compliance and maintaining accurate records. The position requires excellent communication, customer service, and data accuracy skills.
Key responsibilities
- Support Trust and subsidiary company recruitment campaigns by advertising vacancies.
- Manage recruitment administration from advert to appointment.
- Process pre-employment checks including references, DBS checks, and right to work verification.
- Issue conditional offers and contracts of employment.
- Provide advice and support to recruiting managers and applicants throughout the recruitment process.
- Maintain accurate employee records ensuring data quality across ESR and other recruitment systems.
Essential criteria
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of confidentiality and information governance requirements
- Basic knowledge and understanding of employment best practice and legislation
- Ability to communicate sensitive or contentious information in a means that fosters constructive relationships and co-operation with customers
- Demonstrable written communication skills to enable effective conveying of information to internal and external customers
- Keyboard skills.
- Capable of using initiative and making judgements without referral where appropriate
- Previous experience of working in an administrative role
- Managing a diverse workload
- Using electronic office systems
- Working in a busy team providing a service to internal and external customers
- Ability to prioritise own workload to meet deadlines and cope with several tasks at once
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Ability to concentrate on data handling, checking and reconciling information on a daily basis

- Foundation Certificate in People Practice or equivalent

service.
You will
play a key role in recruiting and onboarding new employees working closely with
managers and candidates to provide a professional end-to-end recruitment
service, helping us attract and appoint individuals who will make a difference
to patient care.
The
successful candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills,
strong written communication skills and an ability to work accurately with data
and maintain attention to detail. You must also have the ability to prioritise and organise workload
