Key responsibilities
- Support the implementation of universal, targeted, and specialist interventions.
- Contribute towards the development and delivery of training packages.
- Support the implementation of recommendations made by occupational therapists, monitor outcomes and gather feedback.
- Assist qualified occupational therapists in preparing reports and recommendations.
- Work within Trust policies and under the guidance of a qualified Occupational Therapist.
Essential criteria
- Sound basic education to GCSE level or equivalent (including A -- C grade in English & Maths)
- Evidence of recent education/ personal development.
- Professional development qualification e.g. A level/NVQ 3/ BTEC or equivalent in appropriate area (e.g. NVQ 2 or similar vocational qualification plus Minimum of 2 years'
- Experience working with children.
- Comprehensive experience working in an area relevant to Paediatric Occupational Therapy
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Experience and give examples of preparing and delivering training / education sessions
- Aware of rules relating to confidentiality and data protection and sharing information within these constraints
- Demonstrates knowledge about understanding about children's occupations.
- Demonstrates an understanding of SEND Code of Practice
- Able to identify areas for own personal and professional development sharing examples of how these have been addressed in the past.

This post is a fixed term position to support the Experts at Hand Plan associated with the SEND Reform. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside Education professionals to develop universal and targeted resources which will be applied in early years, primary and secondary school settings. Support will be provided by qualified Occupational Therapists.
