Role summary
This is a Bank Clinical Pharmacist role within mental health services, offering flexible shifts across various localities. The post holder will provide high-quality clinical pharmacy input to inpatient wards and community mental health clinics, optimising medicines and supporting multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include reviewing prescriptions, completing medicines reconciliations, and processing leave/discharge prescriptions. Essential criteria
- Completed pre-registration training
- Substantial demonstrable experience of working post registration as a pharmacist
- Experience of providing care to people with mental health problems
- Hospital pharmacy experience
- Experience of provision of Medicines Information and associated systems
- Provision of medicines education to users, carers and healthcare professionals
- Completing audit projects
- Special Knowledge/Skills
- Self motivated, with well developed communication skills
- Evidence of continuing professional development in line with GPhC
- Team player
- Teaching / tutoring / mentoring skills
- Experience of supervising and directing junior staff
- Computer literate including pharmacy systems, Microsoft office, and internet searching
- Specialist knowledge of mental health pharmacy
- Skilled in audit planning and delivery.
- Batchelor/Masters degree in Pharmacy
- GPhC registration as a Pharmacist
- Membership of CMHP
- Membership of RPS
- Supplementary prescribing qualification
- Physical Attributes
- Ability to undertake the duties and demands of the post. A satisfactory sickness record over the previous 2 years (subject to the need to act with fairness and equality of opportunity, particularly where the sickness is related to a disability and/or pregnancy).

Job summary
As a Bank Clinical Pharmacist, you will bring your expertise to one of
several localities across our Trust, with bank shifts available at The Dales in
Halifax, Folly Hall in Huddersfield, the Priestley Unit in Dewsbury, Fieldhead
Hospital in Wakefield or Kendray Hospital in Barnsley. You will play a key role
in delivering safe, person centred mental health care, using your clinical
judgement to optimise medicines, support recovery and contribute confidently to
multidisciplinary teams.

supportive, forward thinking pharmacy service
Main duties of the job
In this bank role, youll provide highquality clinical pharmacy input
across our inpatient wards and community mental health clinics. Youll review
prescribed medicines to ensure they align with guidance, complete accurate
medicines reconciliations and identify potential risks. Youll process leave
and discharge prescriptions, support safe transitions of care and respond to
medicines information queries from the wider MDT.
At Fieldhead, youll also
contribute to dispensary services. You wont be expected to step straight into
