Role summary
This role is for an Operational Lead for a new Wellbeing Emotional Support Teams in Schools (WEST) team in Hereford. The service provides evidence-based early interventions for children and young people aged 5-18 with mild to moderate mental health needs. The lead will oversee quality and performance through line management and supervision, working across schools, community settings, and from home. It's a full-time, Monday-Friday, 9-5 service with flexible working encouraged.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date electronic records.
- Coordinate staff resources and support team planning.
- Provide line management and caseload supervision.
- Lead, coordinate, and develop an effective and efficient service for children and young people.
- Deliver expert holistic assessments and evidence-based interventions for CYP and their carers.
- Lead the team in implementing integrated MDT care plans, ensuring high-quality, patient-focused care.
Essential criteria
- Registered Practitioner with current registration (i.e. Health / Social Care / Education professional)
- Evidence of relevant post graduate courses / Continual Professional Development maintained in portfolio
- Significant experience of working within community settings
- Experience of Leadership
- Experience of working in a multi- disciplinary team
- Experience implementing change in practice
- Experience of active engagement in audit and governance activities
- High level of knowledge underpinning roles and responsibilities of the professional groups within an MHTiS
Desirable criteria
- Master's Qualification or working towards
- Non-medical prescriber (V300)
- Leadership training/ qualification Practice Educator qualification
- Experience of developing new services
- Relevant experience at band 7
