Role summary
This is a Band 6 Senior Practitioner role within the Core CAMHS service in Worcestershire. The post involves providing quality mental health services for children and young people, delivering tailored interventions. You will work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, assessing, formulating, delivering, and reviewing mental health interventions. The role requires managing a caseload, conducting mental health assessments, and demonstrating skills in risk management and safeguarding.
Key responsibilities
- Work autonomously and as part of a wider team to assess, formulate, deliver, and review mental health interventions.
- Effectively interface with stakeholders and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
- Manage a caseload and work in partnership with children, young people, and families from referral to discharge.
- Conduct regular mental health assessments and demonstrate skills in risk management and safeguarding.
- Utilise skills to formulate, deliver, and review the efficacy of tailored therapeutic interventions.
- Actively contribute to the duty rota system, providing non-urgent/non-emergency telephone support and advice.

- Working knowledge of mental health issues in CAMH Services
- A good knowledge of own professional guidelines such as NMC/HCPC

- Hold an interest in a specialist area
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act
- Professional clinical qualification RMN/OT/Social Worker etc.
- Evidence of post registered clinical qualifications/training or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of training to a minimum of post graduate diploma level
- Current registration with relevant professional body

Job summary
This post is for a Band 6 Senior Practitioner to join the
Core CAMHS service in Worcestershire.

allied health professional and are you passionate about providing quality
mental health services for children and young people, with interventions tailored
to need?
If you believe that children, young people and their
families deserve high quality interventions to match their needs, we have an
exciting opportunity for you.
This is a full-time position but part-time
working at 30 hours will be considered.
Main duties of the job
The children, young people and families accessing our
service require a range of interventions to support them within their journey
of recovery.
A typical week will involve working autonomously
and as part of a wider team. With MDT support, you will assess, formulate,
deliver and review mental health interventions. You will effectively interface
with stakeholders of the service, and you will work collaboratively with
members of the multidisciplinary team. With regular supervision, youwill manage a caseload and work in partnership with
children, young people and families within your care, from initial referral
through to discharge. You will conduct regular mental health assessments and
demonstrate skills in risk management and safeguarding of vulnerable children
and adults.
