Role summary

This role is for a dynamic and compassionate Support Time and Recovery Worker (STR) within the EIS North Manchester Team. The successful candidate will establish therapeutic relationships with service users and carers, work under supervision, and develop recovery plans. They will also contribute to MDT meetings and promote independence within the community.

Essential criteria

  • Knowledge of the Early Intervention Service Offer

Desirable criteria

  • Understanding of working with adults who are experiencing psychosis
  • Experience of working with/supporting individuals with mental health difficulties
  • Good communication skills and an empathic approach
  • Experience of working in a community mental health setting or equivalent

Job summary

Opportunities have arisen for dynamic and compassionate Support Time and Recovery Worker (STR) to work within our EIS North Manchester Team - Central Park

Please note - This role is not eligible for sponsorship unless you meet criteria by temporary exemption from current changes to immigration rules put in force on 22/07/2025. Separate provisions are applied to workers who have been sponsored and held continuously Skilled Worker visa since prior to 04/04/2024.

Main duties of the job

  • To establish and maintain positive therapeutic relationships with service users and their carers.
  • To establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues within the Early Intervention Team.
  • To work under the direct supervision of Registered Social Workers, Registered OT's and Registered Nurses.
  • Develop plans to support recovery based on individual need.
  • To contribute to MDT meetings.
  • To promote and encourage independence and engagement within the local community.
  • To support the duty function of the team, by calling or visiting people already under our care, and supporting with some clinical tasks, such as supporting the team manager with allocations
