Role summary
This is a fixed-term/secondment opportunity for a Band 6 Registered Nurse to join the research delivery team at Cardiff and Vale University R&D. The role involves managing a portfolio of immunology trials, ensuring patient safety, and coordinating clinical trial visits according to protocols. The post holder will work closely with an experienced team to deliver trials safely and efficiently, based within the Clinical Research Facility.
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse - Current registration with NMC
- Specialist knowledge of research legislation, GCP and National Framework and/or extensive clinical experience
- Ability to make independent decisions and advise others on appropriate action.
- Evidence of continued professional development

- Degree
- Good Clinical Practice Certificate
- Evidence of previous patient/client and Multi Disciplinary Team contact within work environment.
- Experience of undertaking clinical research and/or extensive clinical experience in a specific area
- Excellent written, verbal and organisational skills
- Band 5 Acute Experience
- Experience of Clinical Research
- Aptitude and abilities
- Ability to communicate complex information to patients/carers/ members of MDT
- Enthusiastic and ability to motivate others
- Able to prioritise workload and work autonomously
