Role summary
Join our Heart Unit Team as a Staff Nurse in Cardiology. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients on a 19-bedded unit, caring for those undergoing procedures like angiograms and pacemakers. You will assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care before and after procedures, ensuring tailored, high-quality interventions. The position also includes supporting the education and development of learners and staff, and contributing to clinical governance.
Essential criteria
- Full NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Nursing degree or equivalent
- Evidence of continued professional development
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of being a student supervisor/assessor.
- Knowledge and Skills
- Commitment to developing knowledge and skills in cardiac nursing.
- Post registration experience
- Proven experience of working in Cardiology / Cathlab speciality
- ECG interpretation skills

We have 2 fixed term 12 month Posts available to cover Maternity leave.
About the Role:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on our 19 Bedded unit
- Care for a wide range of patient who have procedures, such as Angiogram with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention and Pacemakers
- Support patients electively and inpatients who are coming to the unit for procedures.

Shift Pattern:
