Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic and motivated Administrator to provide administrative support for the Cambridge Adult Locality Team. Key duties include data inputting, patient and staff contact, writing correspondence, and general administration. The successful candidate will be well-organised with good communication skills, supporting colleagues and managing workload within a team dedicated to mental health services.
Essential criteria
- Educated to GCE/GCSE standard.
- RSA Stage II/NVQ Level 2 in Administration or equivalent
- Good command of written English
- Experience of working in a busy and demanding office/customer facing environment
- Experience of planning and organising own workload and of staff within own span of control
- Experience of supporting a multi-disciplinary team
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of working in a NHS Office environment
- Experience in using computer programmes including health care IT systems.
- Skills & Abilities
- Excellent customer care skills
- Excellent standard of typing/audio skills (50wpm)
- Good IT skills (MS Office)
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work under occasional pressure/stress
- Flexible approach to work
- Ability to deal with typing letters or reports which may contain distressing information.
- Other
- Ability to travel independently and in a timely manner across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to meet strict deadlines.

Job summary
We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Administrator, to provide administrative support for the Cambridge Adult Locality Team, based at Union House, Cambridge.
The post involves data inputting of patient information, face to face and telephone contact with patients and clinical staff, writing letters and emails, and providing other general administration duties to support the service and team.
