Role summary

This role is for a dedicated clinical trials senior pharmacy assistant. The post involves supporting the safe, accurate, and efficient management of clinical trial medicines throughout their lifecycle, from receipt and storage to stock management, returns, and destruction. Essential criteria

  • Hold a General Pharmacy Council - (recognised Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant qualification or equivalent)
  • GCSE in Mathematics and English Language (minimum of grade C)
  • Knowledge of procedures for dispensary services
  • Knowledge of pharmacy computer systems
  • Appropriate experience of working in a pharmacy environment
  • Be able to provide and receive routine factual information to inform work colleagues, patients/carers that may require tact and persuasion, where there may be barriers to understanding
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Be able to make judgments involving facts or situations, some requiring analysis independently and as a group
  • Be able to make sound judgments on how to fulfil urgent requests

Desirable criteria

  • GCP training within the last 2 years
  • Relevant experience in Hospital Pharmacy Practice
  • Knowledge and understanding of technical aspects of pharmacy patient services, supported by practical experience.
  • Relevant experience in pharmacy clinical trials (minimum 1 year)

Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated clinical trials senior pharmacy assistant to join our specialist team. The post will support the safe, accurate and efficient management of clinical trials medicines throughout their lifecycle, from receipt, storage, through to stock management, returns and destruction.

Main duties of the job
