Role summary
This role is for a Band 5 Clinical Radiographer within a progressive Imaging Department at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will produce high-quality diagnostic images and provide patient care, adhering to national guidelines and legislation. Responsibilities include participating in a clinical rota across various modalities and working independently, including out-of-hours shifts. The Trust supports career progression and development for Radiographers.
Key responsibilities
- Produce high quality diagnostic images and provide high quality patient care.
- Adhere to national guidelines and relevant legislation, including IR(ME)R 2018 and IRR17.
- Participate in all areas of the clinical rota, including dental, theatre, A&E, orthopaedics, endoscopy, mobile procedures, paediatrics, CT and fluoroscopy.
- Work independently and unsupervised in a multi-disciplinary role during out-of-hours shifts.
- May undertake extended roles such as Venopuncture or working in specialised modalities like CT.
Essential criteria
- GCSE & A Level equivalent
- DCR or BSC Hons
- HPCP Registration
- Recent general radiography
- Knowledge and local NHS targets and initiatives
- Knowledge of CRIS and PACS
- Knowledge and application of IR(ME)R 2017
- Ability to prioritise own workload
- Ability to clearly communicate and relate information concisely
- Attention to detail
- Basic IT skills to manipulate complex post processing packages
Desirable criteria
- Mentor coaching experience
- Previous NHS Experience
- Experience in intravenous cannulation

Main duties of the job

The post holder will participate in all areas of the clinical rota to include dental, theatre, accident and emergency, orthopaedics, endoscopy, mobile procedures, paediatrics, CT and fluoroscopy and work independently when required. There will be a requirement to work outside of normal working hours, where you will be working unsupervised in a multi disciplinary role as part of the decision
