Role summary

Join a multidisciplinary team as a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist, specialising in autism and neurodevelopmental assessment. You will deliver high-quality autism assessments and support children, young people, and their families across Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire. This role involves managing a specialist caseload independently, assessing complex needs, and providing expert guidance to families and partner agencies. The position offers regular clinical supervision and professional development opportunities.

Essential criteria

  • Degree or equivalent in Speech & Language Therapy
  • Registered with HCPC

Desirable criteria

  • ADOS training
  • Post graduate training appropriate to the field
  • Skills, Experience and Knowledge
  • Experience of carrying out formal language assessment with a wide age range
  • Ability to cover a wide patch if required
  • Experience of working with Children and Young People as a SALT
  • Experience of working as an autonomous practitioner e.g., caseload management, prioritising cases, effective organisation and time management skills
  • Experience of working with Neurodivergent children and young people
  • Have experience of Autism assessment
  • Knowledge of Autism and differential diagnosis
