Role summary
This Band 4 Recovery Support Worker role is within the Specialist Community Forensic Team (SCFT) at West London Forensic Services. Essential criteria
- Vocational qualifications NVQ or equivalent NVQ/QCF Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care, Mental Health or equivalent
- Mental health experience
- Working within a healthcare MDT
- Supporting patients with disabilities
- Running therapeutic groups
- Mental health/physical diagnoses/presentations
- Principles of clinical governance
- Risk management
- Forensic services
- Understanding of professional boundaries and the importance of working within agreed risk management plans.
- Ability to reflect, identify and take responsibility for continuing professional development (CPD) needs
- Understand the need for and actively participates in own supervision and constructive use of feedback
- High levels of initiative, innovation and self-motivation
- Commitment to client-centred, non-discriminatory practice

Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Recovery Support Worker to join the Specialist Community Forensic Team (SCFT) within West London Forensic Services.
The SCFT supports service users with complex mental health needs as they transition from secure and rehabilitation inpatient services into the community. In this role, you will promote recovery, independence, and social inclusion, supporting individuals to achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists, Nurses, Social Workers, Peer Support Workers, and Occupational Therapy Assistants, you will help service users develop independent living skills, access education and employment opportunities, and engage in meaningful community activities.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop specialist skills within forensic mental health services while contributing to the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
