Role summary

This role is for an enthusiastic and adaptable Therapeutic Worker to join a caring and progressive team within Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will support clinical teams by using their knowledge, experience, and expertise to deliver great patient care. The role requires a passion for delivering excellent patient care and contributing to a positive patient experience. It is a part-time, permanent position.

Essential criteria

  • Relevant level 3 qualification (NVQ / QCF Diploma or certificate of care / Advanced apprenticeship) or equivalent
  • Functional Skills at Level 2 (Literacy and numeracy/ GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths)
  • Demonstratable experience as a Healthcare Assistant / Worker in a health or social care setting;
  • Experience of working as part of a team;
  • Experience with the use of Microsoft Office and a variety of IT packages (E-Pay / E-roster / AT-P / CIS)

Desirable criteria

  • Experience within community healthcare setting;
  • Experience of working with people living with dementia or cognitive impairment;
  • Experience of working with people with frailty
  • Awareness of developments in the NHS;
  • Knowledge of up to date clinical practice;
  • Understands the role and remit of Unregistered worker
  • Skills and Abilities
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written);
  • Ability to organise own work;
  • Moderate IT skills.
  • Ability to Manage
  • Ability to prioritise care delivery in a professional manner, considering Trust policies and procedures

Please note: at this stage, the role is open only to colleagues currently employed within Kent and Medway NHS Trusts, the Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board (ICB) and Medway Community Healthcare or working on the Staff Bank within these organisations. Nursing and AHP vacancies are also open to Student Nurses and Newly Qualified Nurses/AHPs.
