Role summary
This role involves joining the Cardiac Sciences team to deliver high-quality cardiac diagnostic services for patients in Ceredigion and Mid Wales. You will support advanced diagnostic procedures, work independently on defined cardiac investigations, and interpret results. Essential criteria
- Minimum 5 GCSE or equivalent, to include English, Maths and Science
- Level 3 qualification in science or healthcare related subject
- Level 4 diploma relevant to the area of work: Health Care Sciences or Physiological Measurement
- Professional Body accreditation relevant to the area of work: Society of Cardiological Science and Technology Award in Practical Electrocardiography and Diploma in ECG interpretation

- Qualification in data processing
- Qualification in teaching or mentoring
- Experience of performing a range of investigations as outlined in the job description
- Experience of working in a health care environment

Job summary
We are delighted to offer an opportunity to join our friendly and supportive Cardiac Sciences team, delivering high-quality cardiac diagnostic services for patients across Ceredigion and the Mid Wales region.
Our work supports people with both acute and long-term cardiac conditions and plays a key role in their ongoing care. Our services include 12-lead ECGs, ambulatory ECG and blood pressure monitoring, echocardiography, and pacemaker implantation and follow-up. We also host outpatient clinics for a wide range of cardiac and respiratory healthcare professionals.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual, who enjoys variety and teamwork. The role involves working flexibly across our services, supporting advanced diagnostic procedures alongside qualified staff, as well as working independently to deliver and interpret defined cardiac investigations.
Applications are welcomed from candidates who do not currently hold the required qualification. Where appropriate, an appointment may be made under Annex 21, with support provided to achieve the qualification while in post.
