Role summary
This role is for an experienced Band 7 Physiotherapist to join the Adult Community Rehabilitation Team in City and Hackney. You will provide specialist assessment and treatment for adults with complex physical health conditions, offering clinical leadership and contributing to service improvement. The position involves supervising junior staff and students, working within a multidisciplinary team. Applicants need substantial community rehabilitation experience and strong leadership qualities.
Essential criteria
- Degree or diploma in Physiotherapy
- MCSP
- HPC registration

- Member of relevant specialist interest group

- Ability to demonstrate Trust values
- Physiotherapy assessment and treatment skills with complex clients with long term conditions
- Manage a clinical caseload
- Effective communication with various disciplines and agencies
- Able to escalate/de-escalate situations as required
- Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- IT skills
- Strong project management and QI skills
- Relevant experience
- Experience working in a variety of community settings
- Experience supervising staff
- Experience managing a wide range of complex duties (providing examples)
- Experience in using outcomes measures
- Experience in supporting the training/teaching of a team
- Knowledge of confidentiality issues
- Knowledge of current issues and opportunities facing community based services
- Knowledge and assessment of a variety of long term health conditions and the management
- Understanding of local population and their health needs

Job summary
The Adult Community Rehabilitation Team provides rehabilitation for adults aged 18+ across City and Hackney. We deliver high-quality, person-centred care that supports people to maximise independence, achieve meaningful goals and improve their quality of life within their local communities.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Band 7 Physiotherapist to join our Physical Conditions pathway. The role offers the opportunity to provide specialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for adults with complex physical health conditions.
Working closely with Band 7 colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical leadership, contribute to service improvement and quality improvement initiatives, and support the development of innovative rehabilitation pathways. You will also supervise junior staff and students and work with service leads.
Applicants should have substantial community rehabilitation experience, excellent clinical and communication skills, experience of multidisciplinary working, strong leadership qualities and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
