Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and compassionate Band 6 Dietitian to join a high-performing Community Dietetic Team. The role involves leading a specialist caseload in community neurology, nutrition support, and enteral feeding across Doncaster. The successful candidate will manage a complex caseload, contribute to service development, education, and quality improvement, and embody the trust's values. Essential criteria
- Significant post-registration dietetic experience
- Experience managing a busy and varied caseload
- Experience in oral nutritional support and enteral feeding
- Experience of MDT working.
- Experience of delivering training
- Experience supervising students or junior staff.
- Good IT skills
Desirable criteria
- Experience working in a community setting.
- Experience working with patients with neurological conditions
- Home Enteral Feeding Service experience
- Quality Improvement projects
- Research experience
- HCPC registered
- Degree in Dietetics
- Evidence of ongoing CPD
- BDA Membership
- Postgraduate qualification relevant to specialist practice
- Clinical supervisory skills training or practice educator training.
- Broad knowledge of nutrition and dietetics.
- Specialist knowledge of nutrition support, including oral and enteral nutrition.
- Understanding of evidence-based practice
- Understanding of HCPC standards and professional responsibilities
- Specialist knowledge of neurological nutrition
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to communicate sensitive information
- Presentation/teaching skills
