Role summary
This role involves supervising a team of Cleaning Assistants at the new Community Diagnostic Centre, ensuring high standards of cleaning and customer service. Key responsibilities include managing staff rosters, allocating resources, and maintaining equipment. Key responsibilities
- Oversee the daily deployment and supervision of Cleaning Assistants.
- Ensure an effective and efficient Cleaning Service is provided to all areas, maintaining high customer service standards.
- Manage staff rosters, ensuring cost-effectiveness and accurate documentation of allocations and overtime.
- Ensure staff have appropriate resources and equipment, and that cleaning equipment is properly used and maintained.
- Liaise with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure services meet their satisfaction.
- Support staff welfare and ensure timely communication of information.
Essential criteria
- Previous demonstrable experience in a supervisory role
- Previous demonstrable experience of the cleaning and food industry
- Proven knowledge of Infection Control policy and procedures
- Proven knowledge of food safety and HACCP Awareness of special diet and food allergens
- Proven Knowledge of health & safety and COSHH
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent demonstrable experience, skills and proven knowledge
- CIEH Level 3 Food Safety
- Willing to undertake further training relevant to the position
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer literate, able to use Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Understanding of and commitment to equality of opportunity and good working relationships
- Able to prioritise effectively and manage deadlines.
- Able to analyse and manipulate staff rosters to ensure best use of resources.
- Able to use and demonstrate use of electrical cleaning equipment
- Able to investigate incidents and complaints and implement the actions required to prevent reoccurrence.
Desirable criteria
- Previous Hotel Services or demonstrable portering experience within an acute clinical setting
- Level 3 ILM - Institute of Leadership & Management
