Role summary

This role is for a driven Events Fundraising Manager passionate about health charities. You will be a key member of the Charity Team, responsible for planning, managing, and delivering the charity's community fundraising and events programme. The goal is to generate funds to agreed targets and raise awareness for the charity, ensuring a sustainable program of events fundraising. You will also monitor competitor activity and ensure an excellent customer experience for supporters.

Key responsibilities

  • To support specific fundraising projects and appeals
  • In conjunction with the Head of Fundraising plan and manage the charities current events fundraising programme and contribute to its continual development
  • Research and develop new charity led events
  • Monitor and feedback competitor activity in the region in relation to event fundraising
  • Deliver an excellent customer experience and supporter journey so that the hospital's charity is the charity of choice for people in the trust's catchment
  • Keep up to-date with fundraising codes of practice and regulations in relation to events, fundraising and sponsorship

Essential criteria

  • oExperience of planning, coordinating and delivering events or fundraising activities, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines.
  • oExperience of coordinating event logistics, including venues, suppliers, equipment, materials, volunteers and other operational requirements.
  • oExperience of working with volunteers and providing support and coordination before and during events.
  • Educated to A Level or equivalent experience
  • Further relevant training or work experience
  • oGood knowledge of event planning and delivery, including event logistics, suppliers, venues, volunteers and operational requirements.
  • oGood understanding of health and safety, risk assessment and event management requirements.

Desirable criteria

  • oExperience of using a fundraising database for data entry, data manipulation and reporting.
  • Educated to degree level
  • oAwareness of best fundraising practice in relation to event fundraising.
  • oSocial media and e-communications capability

Job summary

We are looking for a driven Events Fundraising Manager, who is passionate about health charities and the role the charity plays in supporting the needs of local patients.

As a key member of the Charity Team, the Events Fundraising Manager must have the creativity, skill and knowledge to deliver the best charity community fundraising, events and stewardship of our supporters, that support the wider strategy.

The post-holder will sit within the Charity team and provides an important link between the Charity and the local community, volunteers,fundraisers and hospital staff. The post holder will work closely with colleagues to deliver an effective community and events program.

The purpose of this role is to ensure that a sustainable program of events fundraising is in place, has a high profile and is well marketed and managed to generate funds to agreed targets and awareness of the charity.
