Role summary
This role is for an experienced Housekeeping / Domestic Team Leader to support high-quality cleanliness, housekeeping, and patient meal services at Moseley Hall Hospital and West Heath Hospital. You will work closely with the Band 5 Housekeeping Manager, coordinating daily services, monitoring standards, and providing leadership to ensure safe, clean, and welcoming environments. The position involves supervising staff, managing cleaning schedules, and deputising for the manager when needed. Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE or equivalent
- ILM Level 3 or equivalent leadership qualification
- NVQ Level 2 in British Institute of Cleaning in Domestic Services or equivalent
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
- Experience of leadership and managing a team
Desirable criteria
- Relevant experience of using Microsoft Programmes
- Skills/Knowledge
- Significant knowledge of Food Safety/Food Service including temperature control Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points HACCP
- Significant experience of Health & Safety, including COSHH and Safe Systems of Cleaning
- Ability to be proactive and think dynamically
- Flexible approach with the ability to work independently
- Ability to manage conflict and contentious situations where negotiation skills may be necessary
