Role summary

This role is for a patient-focused Therapeutic Radiographer to join the Rosemere Cancer Centre team. You will rotate through pre-treatment and treatment delivery, practicing all aspects of external beam radiotherapy. New graduates are supported by a Preceptorship programme, and there are opportunities for role extension and research. Job summary

We are looking to recruit a committed, patient focused Therapeutic Radiographer to join our friendly team here at the Rosemere Cancer Centre. Our department at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS FT is a busy centre providing ISO9001:2015 certificated external beam radiotherapy services for Lancashire and South Cumbria. We are part of a Radiotherapy Operational Delivery Network collaborating with the Christie NHS FT and The Clatterbridge Centre NHS FT to provide high quality radiotherapy across the North West of England

Main duties of the job

You will rotate through pre-treatment and treatment delivery allowing you to practice in all aspects of external beam radiotherapy localisation, planning, data prep, treatment delivery and imaging. New graduates are supported by a well-established Preceptorship programme and lifelong learning is central to both Departmental and Trust values.

The Radiotherapy department has successfully integrated role extension into its culture and has implemented Advanced Clinical Practitioner and Consultant Practitioner roles in Therapeutic Radiography. Additional to this there is a strong research ethic with opportunities for active involvement with research at all levels.
