Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic midwife to join the maternity teams at University Hospital of North Durham or Darlington Memorial Hospital. You will deliver safe, family-centred care, promoting positive outcomes for mothers and babies, and upholding NMC standards. The position offers opportunities to work across acute maternity services and/or community, with full preceptorship and support for skill development. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating individualised care plans.
Essential criteria
- Qualified Midwife or awaiting registration.

- Post graduate certificate in health related subject.

Job summary

Durham and Darlington are seeking enthusiastic midwives to join our teams
working on our maternity unit at the University Hospital of North Durham or Darlington
Memorial Hospital. We want you to be here, helping to shape our vision for an
outstanding service that gives women and families as well as midwives an
extraordinary experience.
As a newly qualified
midwife band 5 or band 6 midwife, you will be given opportunities to work
across all areas of the acute maternity services and/or community. We offer full
preceptorship in line with the national framework, PMA support and actively
support you to develop and enhance your skills through support from our CPD
programme.
Main duties of the job
As a CDDFT Midwife, you will
be committed to delivering safe, family centred care, promoting positive
outcomes for mothers and babies, and upholding the standards set by the Nursing
and Midwifery Council (NMC).
