Role summary
This role is for a passionate and caring Specialist Community Public Health Assistant Practitioner to join the Bolton Children's Integrated Health and Wellbeing Service. You will work in the community with children and families, supporting the delivery of universal health offers within a 0-19 integrated neighbourhood team. The position requires excellent communication skills and a solution-focused approach, collaborating with other agencies to improve health outcomes for children in Bolton.
Key responsibilities
- Support the delivery of the universal offer in a 0-19 integrated neighbourhood team.
- Work collaboratively with other agencies to ensure protection and best health outcomes for children and families.
- Work within the community, dealing with clients from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of need.
Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Evidence of working with children & young people
- Experience of working in the local community.
- Experience of working with children, young people and families.
- Experience of delivering to groups
- Experience of producing resources to support public health messages.
- Experience of networking with community partners.
- Experience of managing resources.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills/ability to communicate with a diverse range of individuals.
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
- Willingness to undertake training.
- Ability to work flexibly according to service need.
- Ability to travel with ease across the borough to deliver the service.
- Knowledge of the health improvement initiatives for children, young people and their families.
