Role summary
This role is for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join the haemodialysis service. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the ward/department team, actively meeting patient and service needs under the supervision of registered nurses. They will develop essential competencies through training and practice, ensuring safety and quality are prioritised. Experience in a clinical environment is preferred.
Essential criteria
- Completion of Care Certificate or equivalent.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills (English and Math's GCSEs or equivalent.)
- Evidence of ongoing personal development.

- Level 2 support worker Apprenticeship
- Demonstrable experience of working in a clinical healthcare setting.
- Experience of dealing with the public.
- Awareness of health and safety at work. e.g: manual handling skills, infection control measures.
- Ability to collect and exchange factual information and data to the multidisciplinary team and ensure data accuracy.

Job summary
We are offering an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the haemodialysis service as a Band 3 Health care assistant. We are looking for experienced health-care assistants with a minimum of one-year working within a clinical environment (preferably a hospital setting).

Main duties of the job
The Senior Healthcare Support Worker will be an integral part of the ward/department team actively taking part in meeting the needs of patients and of the service in accordance with agreed standards under direct supervision of the registered nurses, nurse associates and midwives. The post holder will develop essential competencies though training and practice to ensure safety and quality are the priority.
