Role summary

This role is for an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join a 24-bed ward as a Deputy Ward Leader. You will develop leadership skills, mentor junior colleagues, and ensure high-quality, patient-centred care. The position involves supporting the ward's day-to-day management, acting as a professional role model, and contributing to clinical governance. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to maintain care standards and promote evidence-based practice.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the leadership and day-to-day management of the ward.
  • Regularly take charge of the ward and ensure safe, effective, and high-quality patient care.

  • Significant post registration experience, including some experience within specialty
  • Significant experience at band 5
  • Supervision of non registered staff, pre registration and post basic students.
