Role summary
The Patient Access Team is seeking a motivated RTT Patient Pathway Analyst. This role involves proactively monitoring and validating patients on clinical pathways to ensure access targets are met and data is accurate. You will manage patient groups through their treatment pathways, ensuring adherence to key access standards and RTT pathway rules. The position requires excellent communication, computer skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
Key responsibilities
- Proactively monitor and validate patients on a clinical pathway.
- Ensure access targets are met and data held against the patient's pathway is accurate and comprehensive.
- Manage groups of patients through the 'non-admitted' and 'admitted' elements of their treatment pathway.
- Support the needs of the department by possessing relevant skills and competencies.
- Offer support to Band 3 staff.
Essential criteria
- Educated to Secondary Level with 5 GCSE's at grades A*-C, with 2 of these being GSCE English and Mathematics.
- Willingness to undertake additional training.
- Computer Literate.
- NVQ 3 (or equivalent experience)
- Good level of understanding of the Government's access targets for 18 weeks RTT.
- Organisation skills and ability to prioritise work under pressure.
- Working to tight deadlines.
- Experience of data collection and cleansing.
- High Level of IT skills, with the ability to use all Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel, outlook and Word.
- Ability to manage and interpret data correctly to inform decision making.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable criteria
- Highly developed knowledge of the e-RS system.
- Experience of Allscripts and FDP.
- Previous experience of working in a healthcare setting.
- Shown willingness to plan and adapt to change.

Job summary
The Patient Access Team are looking for a motivated team member to join our existing, extremely busy team.
You will have knowledge of the 18 week RTT pathways, be an excellent communicator, have experience of collating information and have excellent computer skills. The role will involve proactively monitoring and validating patients on a clinical pathway, ensuring that access targets are met and data held against the patient's pathway is accurate and comprehensive.
Main duties of the job
This will involve managing groups of patients through the 'non-admitted' and 'admitted' element of their treatment pathway to enable treatment to be delivered within key access standards. You will possess the skills and key competencies to support the needs of the department. You will need to be organised, diligent and have patient care as your primary concern. You should have a good understanding of RTT pathwayrules as well as awareness and understanding of national targets.
We will offer the successful candidates the relevant training, however previous experience of working with Allscripts and RTT pathways is desirable. You will be required to have a professional and mature working attitude, and an ability to liaise with patients and staff.
