Role summary

This role supports the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and GP practices by providing specialist advice on information governance and data protection. Key responsibilities

  • Develop training and deliver the IG training programme.
  • Support the development of data sharing agreements and information sharing frameworks across organisations.

Essential criteria

  • Proof of Qualification in Information governance or equivalent or working towards
  • IG/GDPR Practitioner with significant relevant experience
  • Experience of managing risks, incidents and reporting.
  • Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence at SMT level.
  • Demonstrates good overall digital literacy, with the ability to confidently use computers and digital systems required for day-to-day work.
  • Ability to prepare and produce concise yet insightful communications for dissemination to senior stakeholders and a broad range of stakeholders as required.
  • Experience of creating and giving presentations to a varied group of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyse very complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources.
  • Demonstrated capabilities to manage and prioritise own workload and make informed decisions in the absence of required information, working to tight and often changing timescales
  • The promotion of equality of opportunity and good working relations (providing practical leadership)

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to help support and advise the cluster ICB and local GP practices. The primary purpose of the role is to provide specialist advice and support to the ICB and GP practices across the Integrated Care System on information governance and data protection matters.
