Role summary
This role involves supervising domestic services staff to ensure high-quality cleaning standards are met across various hospital areas. You will be responsible for planning rotas, monitoring cleanliness, and auditing standards using software. The supervisor also manages staff attendance, annual leave, and reports incidents, ensuring adequate cleaning supplies are maintained. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
Essential criteria
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in English and Maths
- Experience of working in a cleaning role
- NVQ3 or equivalent
- ILM Level 3 or working towards
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of NHS Policies & Procedures, including IPC, COSHH, Health & Safety, Manual Handling
- Previous Supervisory experience
- Skills and Abilities
- To lead a team and take responsibility for that teams performance during the duty shift
- Confidence in communicating with staff at all levels both written and verbally
