Role summary
This role supports the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme across Merseyside & North Cheshire, assisting the Programme Manager with operational and administrative tasks. The post holder will ensure service delivery meets national standards, monitors performance, and drives continuous improvement. - Evidence of project management to Facilitate service change
- Experience of managing/developing teams
- Evidence of managing budgets
- Experience of project change & management.
- Evidence of BCSP Processes

- Evidence of understanding large complex clinical environments
- Strategically aware
- Knowledge of current NHS policy.
- Process mapping skills/Lean Skills trained

Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to support the delivery and ongoing development of the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme across Merseyside & North Cheshire area.
This pivotal role will support the Programme Manager in the operational and administrative management of the service, ensuring delivery in line with national standards, pathway targets, and best practice. Working closely with senior clinical leaders and key stakeholders, the post holder will play a key role in coordinating service activity, monitoring performance, and driving continuous improvement. The role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to enhancing patient experience, increasing screening uptake, and ensuring a safe, effective, and equitable screening pathway.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for the operational and administrative management of the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme (BCSP), supporting delivery across Merseyside and North Cheshire in line with national standards and pathway targets.
