Role summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the integrated safeguarding team as a Specialist Safeguarding Children Professional. The role involves collaborating with the Named Professional for Safeguarding Children, internal divisions, and multi-agency partners to fulfil the trust's statutory duties. The successful candidate will provide specialist advice and support on all aspects of safeguarding children across the organisation. Key responsibilities include attending multi-agency meetings, ensuring policy adherence, and contributing to training and audit projects.
Essential criteria
- Current professional registration with recognised body such as NMC/HCPC e.g Registered Nurse/Midwife, Social Worker, Allied Health Professional
- Experience of working within a role that involves Safeguarding Children post registration.
- Recent Level 3 Safeguarding training
Desirable criteria
- Master's degree or equivalent in relevant area.
- Accredited teaching or training qualification.
- Recognised further qualifications in Safeguarding.
- Currently practicing in a professional role that includes a high level of children's safeguarding as significant part of the portfolio.
- Experience of working with children and families
- Experience of managing safeguarding concerns in a health and/or social care setting
- Experience of providing specialist safeguarding advice to other professionals
- Experience of undertaking audits.
- Experience of Safeguarding partnership working.
