This is an exciting time at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Cardiac Nursing. We are expanding our service and need your help.Cardiac services are embarking on an exciting programme of change in order to meet the challenges of providing a world leading cardiac programme.

Over the next 2 years we are expanding the service to open a 16 bedded high dependency Unit. This will help children needing cardiac surgery to be nursed in the right place at the right time allowing for timely discharges. You can help be part of this change.

Bear and Alligator ward are two areas consisting of 24 beds (inclusive of 8 HDU beds) that specialises in Cardiothoracic patients involving the heart, lungs and tracheal. Great Ormond Street Hospital is the UK centre for Paediatric Pulmonary Hypertension, providing specialist care for patients up to 18 years old. The typical case
